The Anaheim Hills Rotary was chartered on May 14, 1985. We came to be a Rotary Club from the following lineage: Los Angeles Rotary Club (L.A.“5” in District 528) chartered 1909 sponsored Long Beach Rotary Club chartered 1917; LBRC sponsored Santa Ana Rotary Club chartered 1920; SARC sponsored Anaheim Rotary Club chartered 1921; ARC sponsored Anaheim Sunrise Rotary Club chartered 1984; ASRC along with the Yorba Linda Rotary Club, sponsored the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club.
Anaheim Hills Rotary Club celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010. AHRC is one of 46 clubs in District 5320. The district covers a geographic area from as far north as Long Beach to as far south as San Clemente, and as far west as Avalon, Catalina Island to as far east as Whittier. There are approximately 2,150 Rotarians in District 5320. There are approximately 1,200,000 Rotarians in 32,500 clubs in the world. Rotary is represented in over 200 countries and geographic areas.
Rotary is recognized as the first service club in the world, with its initial meeting date of February 23, 1905 in Chicago, Illinois. The founder of Rotary was an attorney whose name was Paul H. Harris. The number 2 club was chartered in San Francisco, followed by number 3 in Houston, number 4 in Seattle and number 5 in Los Angeles.
The obligations of membership in the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club (adopted by District 5320 from the Rotary Club of Long Beach) are: To attend meetings regularly; to pay dues promptly; to invite potential Rotarians to meetings; to support the Rotary Foundation, club fundraisers and service projects; to be a big-hearted, broad-minded person… a person of integrity, energy and action… a Rotarian.
Since its inception, Anaheim Hills Rotary Club has played an important part in the life of the community. Its members have not only supported the efforts of neighboring Rotary clubs in addition to AHRC, they have supported numerous other philanthropic and community minded groups, especially in the Canyon Hills area. Anaheim Hills Rotary Club takes great pride in the fact that its members come from a number of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. The club is truly a salad bowl of different people coming together in fellowship and friendship for the common objective of “Service Above Self.”
Membership in Anaheim Hills Rotary provides the opportunity to:

- assist with Rotary International’s humanitarian service efforts;
