Rotary Year 2012-2013
2013 Polio Vaccination Trip to Caborca, Mexico
One of our members, Tracey Clark, accompanied 51 Rotarians and spouses on an annual whirlwind trip to Caborca, Mexico the weekend of February 15th. The mission is to vaccinate as many children between the ages of 1 and 5 against Polio by administering 2 little drops into their mouths. These children either do not have access to medical facilities or their parents are unaware that the vaccine exists. This is one of the primary reasons Tracey became a Rotarian. To have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on experience such as this was exhilarating and humbling at the same time. Rotary does indeed do amazing things!
